Farever Early Access Review — Is It Worth It?
Farever launched into Early Access on May 6, 2026, and the question on everyone's mind is: is it worth your $18 and your time? After analyzing player reviews, press coverage, and gameplay footage, here's our comprehensive verdict.

What Works Well ✅
Combat Feels Great
Farever's combat is compared favorably to Guild Wars 2 — action-oriented, dodge-focused, with meaningful blocking and timing. The skill system (weapons define your abilities) keeps combat feeling fresh as you try new loadouts.
Exploration is Rewarding
The world of Siagarta is built for vertical exploration: climbing, gliding, swimming, diving. Secrets are hidden everywhere. If you see something interesting, go check it out — you'll likely be rewarded.
Build Variety is Genuine
With 4 classes, 100+ weapon skills, talents, runes, and the Arsenal system, Farever offers genuine build diversity. A Warrior wielding a staff plays completely differently from one with a greatsword.
4-Player Co-op Done Right
Dynamic difficulty scaling means the game adjusts based on party size. More players = faster kills + better loot, but each player still feels impactful.
What Needs Work ❌
Performance Issues
This is the #1 complaint. Frame rate drops occur even on mid-to-high-end systems, especially in crowded areas. Optimization is clearly still in progress.
Not Really an MMO
Despite MMO comparisons, Farever is a co-op game with instanced multiplayer (up to 4 players). Think Valheim's scale, not World of Warcraft.
Limited Endgame (For Now)
Level cap of 20 at launch, with more content coming in the roadmap — guilds, PvP, more dungeons, and a level 50 cap.
